The list of tools below is organized alphabetically, and it represents a selection of the resources available to Digital Humanists. Many of these tools are actively updated, so please contact the DH@Bucknell Web Team if you find any outdated information or if you would like to suggest additional tools or software.

Bucknell University has site licenses and provides faculty, staff, and students with access to and support for a number of these tools; tools for which this is the case have “BU access” listed under pricing.


A-Frame

A-Frame is a web framework for building virtual reality experiences. A-Frame is based on top of HTML, making it simple to get started. But A-Frame is not just a 3D scene graph or a markup language; the core is a powerful entity-component framework that provides a declarative, extensible, and composable structure to three.js.

Agisoft

Agisoft Metashape is a stand-alone software product that performs photogrammetric processing of digital images and generates 3D spatial data to be used in GIS applications, cultural heritage documentation, and visual effects production as well as for indirect measurements of objects of various scales.

ARCore

With ARCore, you can build new augmented reality experiences that seamlessly blend the digital and physical worlds. ARCore is Google’s platform for building augmented reality experiences. Using different APIs, ARCore enables your phone to sense its environment, understand the world and interact with information. Some of the APIs are available across Android and iOS to enable shared AR experiences.

ARKit

ARKit helps you build augmented reality apps for Mac and iOS devices. With People Occlusion, ARKit knows where people and AR objects are and properly occludes the scene.
